EPISODE 202: ALEXANDRA KIRSH

Alexandra Kirsh is the curator at The RBC Art and Heritage Centre in Montreal. Her primary role is managing and curating the public art collection at the McGill University Health Centres in Montreal. The collection contains a vast diversity of artworks, ranging from the 11 permanent works commissioned at the construction of the new Glen site hospital, as well as hundreds of paintings, prints and mixed media artworks.

She tells me about the unique task of tailoring artworks to different spaces within a hospital setting, balancing both staff and patient needs and how she aims to use the art collection to create a community within the hospital.
